Decided to come up here while my car was being fixed at Pep Boys!! Great choice, good waitresses and good food too!! Will be back!!

Hands down the best value and breakfast quality in southbay. Gets crowded on weekends but worth the 10 minute wait

Lived in Chula Vista for 16 years and had never been to FHP -my loss. This is a great place for breakfast! Large portions and excellent customer service. Food was very tasty. The place has the feeling of an old diner. Highly recommended.

A+++for their amazing version of Swedish crepes. Eggy, rich, delicious and consistently good, they were the icing on the cake of our visit. I also had the French toast breakfast off the senior menu... B. The weakest part of our breakfast was the annoyingly loud, bigoted, rude server. She loudly made fun of the Asian couple with limited English skills and then made an illogical and ridiculous comment regarding my breakfast. The restaurant is def no frills, plain, very dated and like eating in a cafeteria. However, my husband's omelet was large and filled w/ham and cheddar cheese. Surprisingly, at 7am in the morning, the potatoes were old tasting and not fresh. 7.23.16 7am. She was the only server that morning besides the hostess.

Little on the expensive side but they did give you a lot of food and it was good. Sometimes more food is not better.

My family and I love coming here on Sundays. The portions are large! This is the only place I actually order omelets and eat them. There huge, so I eat half there and half for lunch. Lots of flavor.

Large portions at this place. I ordered the banana pancakes that didn't come with enough diced slices. The eggs tasted a little weird & my 2 kids enjoyed the kids breakfast with orange juice We will return, $39 spent

Wow, the other reviews aren't kidding when they say huge portions. I had the house made corned beef hash with potatoes and pancakes. Way too much food for one person. Wish they had 1/2 portions. Excellent food and service. Food arrived very quickly. We'll be back!

First time visiting this restaurant and all I can say is good things, food is delicious, pancakes are huge and they have all kind of different ones, I recommend this place to anyone that’s is close by.

I love this place. They make you feel like you went to grandmas house and makes you pancakes. I would recommend ordering the fiesta omelet. Best Omelet ever!

Been going here for years. Big, delicious portions. Great customer service. So far everything has been great. Their crepes are on the thick side (just a fyi) We've had almost everything on the menu. We always come here whenever we're in Chula Vista. Enjoy!

Delicious food, but prices went up.

This is a great place for breakfast, there's always a wait line but the service is fast. Be warned that the portions are really big, you might want to share or you can take it home for some quality binge eating.

I've been eating here since I was a tiny tot. I love this place, and I'm kind of glad to see it look like it always has. Comforting and familiar! Their Swedish pancakes are a religious experience. Their Denver omelette is fabulous. The employees here are great and super friendly.

I recommend it, the Fiesta omelet platter. I bet you can't eat it all.

Great food, portions are humungous. Service is terrific. The prices are very cheap for the amount of food you get. It's a small establishment and their always busy, so you might have to wait for a table, but it's well worth it. Best breakfast place I've been too in a while. Wish we had one where I live!

We had an awesome meal the waitress was so great she was very helpful and patient with my daughter . I ordered a Banana Pecan waffle it was so good. My daughter had the little tykes meal with a chocolate chip pancake and he had the ham cheese and mushroom omelette.

Always good friendly customer service. Food is always delicious then have a good amount of selections for breakfast. Definitely give them a try they well deserve my feed back . Also like to mention this lady she is so nice and always have a brilliant welcoming smile she is a server by the name of shari .

I've gone here since I was a kid. As my tastes have evolved, there has always been something for me on the menu. As a kid, I loved their pancakes and egg breakfast. Then I started loving their crepes, then their omelettes, and eggs Benedict. They have a great selection and the food is great. The only thing is that the portions are HUGE. Either come hungry or expect to take food home. They give you so much!

A friend brought me here for his last breakfast. An honor to me for sure and says a lot about the restaurant he beeing a bit of a food connoisseur. The food is special here without question. Large selection, always way too much for me to finish. I don't have a favorite waitress here yet but Jess the hostess is just great . I'm guessing she'll be a waitress here someday . The food was delicious, but I really didn't like the way how the waitress treated us. She was very inconsiderate and rude. I understand that we are going through a pandemic and we really appreciate that you guys were taking the proper precautions to care about the guidelines of social distance. Nonetheless what really bothered me of the service,was that my son asked her to redo his egg because he asked for a medium well done egg and they gave him a sunnyside egg that was barely cooked and seemed raw. The waitress stated very rudely " I can't touch that plate, I can't take the eggs back." Of course we understand that she cant take the egg to the kitchen and cook it a little extra. However I wasnt expecting for her to just leave the raw eggs on my table and just go. Worst part is that she just left us alone with no service and never came back to our table to see of we needed anything!!!!

This was the second time I have been to Family House of Pancakes. The previous time was at the National City location. Both sites are great! The Chula Vista is a bit smaller but what it lacks in square footage it makes for in service and quality comfort food.The portions are large! So come hungry and/or prepared to have leftovers to take with you. These locations get crowded quickly, so be an early riser if you want to have a great breaksfast at this fantastic restaurant.

Try the Family House of Pancakes in Chula Vista. The portions are huge so think about sharing! Service was prompt and friendly, they have a separate person to fill your coffee cup and bring you extra napkins. Plenty of parking and don't worry if you see a little line, they will seat you quickly..

Large portions and friendly service. No serious complaints to note here. I will say that the one server was grossly overworked; to the point where she couldn't even check on us. This was because she was serving EVERY TABLE, not because she didnt care.
